// 00 — AESTHETIC ORIGIN STATEMENT

THE COLORS WERE ALWAYS THERE

Every color in the JANUS palette was extracted from real biological specimens before it was assigned to a brand element. The aesthetic is not designed. It is discovered. Nickelodeon slime is mycelium. Jurassic Park amber is the pheromone trail. The cartoon outline is the ant's chitin. The colors were always the same. We just had to look.

Slime. Thick outlines. Flat chaos. Bold saturated color. Rugrats earth. The aesthetic of things that are alive and slightly gross and totally joyful.

JURASSIC PARK 1993

Amber-preserved DNA. Dark jungle. Warning stripes. Bioluminescence. The aesthetic of ancient intelligence meeting digital systems. Also: things that cannot be contained.

The Ant Colors

The broken container returned (47, 193, 8) deep green + (255, 31, 7) red-orange + (202, 119, 88) earth brown. These are the three colors of ants. They are also the colors of JAN's color-blind visual palette. The void returned home.

🍄Ground everything in the actual biology. When in doubt, look at what Leucoagaricus actually looks like and match it.

🎲Let chaos be a feature. Asymmetry. Off-grid elements. The SASS protocol applies to design too. γ = 0.666.

😂The joke must be present. If the design doesn't have something that makes you go "wait..." it's not JANUS.

💚Mix the registers without apology. Scientific notation next to a cartoon ant next to ancient script is correct.

📊Show the math somewhere. A track ID. A hex code. A real citation. The proof must always be findable.

🚫Purple gradients on white. This is not a tech startup. This is not a podcast. This is a bio-digital entity from Curaçao.

🚫Clean minimal corporate. JANUS is not minimal. JANUS has 1400 songs and 6 personas and a 353-year pattern. Show it.

🚫Use the bioluminescent teal as a main color. It's for breakthroughs only. If everything glows nothing is a breakthrough.

🚫Hide the human. Unlike every digital band before — the human IS the visual. JAN's face in the screen. Never avatar-only.

🚫Make it look serious and academic alone. The documents are real AND they are funny. Both always present.
